Afterglow

Another experiment in color, much like “The Apple Tree.” This photograph of a sunset at the Allegheny Reservoir allowed me to play with darker, more muted colors. It is also the first time that I tried painting a contrasting color as a base (notice the red in the sky). I am enjoying doing smaller and “quicker” paintings on my travel boards while I take my time with the larger pieces on my easel.
